# 240, Avoiding Russia on Victory Day
240. The US president preferred not to take part in the official Russian celebration commemorating the 70th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany. Was it correct? No.
The Ukraine conflict can be dealt with using ad-hoc mechanisms but May 9 & 70 years mark such a meaningful day for China, Russia, the USA & a World pacing closer to the ideals of our Founding Parents that the leaders of the 3 countries should have used the opportunity to amalgamate in Moscow.
With his decision mister Obama came closer to the discourse he sounded around during his 2008 trip to western Europe but not to the true historic interests of America.
Let us hope that 2020, 2025 & so on will provide chances to improve.
